NYFW2018: The Recap
Heyyy! I am so excited to be writing this short post with you and sharing how I felt about my NYFW experience with you all. OMG, I took in everything—-even with all the NYFW chaos. This weekend was like a whirlwind…so much to do, see and take in. But I was looking forward to meeting new people while enjoying the festivities.
I never really thought as a blogger that I should attend Fashion Week until my wonderful friend Loreal came into my life. She lovessss fashion week. It didn’t dawn on me much that it was beneficial. But, I do blog about fashion and lifestyle so it did make perfect sense. However, I learned that it’s a time to meet up with brands, go to events, attend parties and network with other influencers. This weekend and the events has me reflecting on my growth as a blogger. I remember when I was just starting out and afraid to take risks or be myself. Basically afraid to shine because of what others would think. That fear no longer exists. If you want to grow, you gotta be bold and creative. I am proud of where I am and where I will be in the next two years. I am destined for this and enjoy fulfilling my passion to work for myself while building a brand.
I only attended the three Oxford SS19 shows at Pier 59 because of my schedule and that was enough at the moment. I want to thank my friends Loreal (elevatenstyle) and Samantina (wildsamfierce) for doing the leg work to get us in these events, because they are not easy to get into. I love these two awesome souls!
Yessss my hobby of just posting fun fashion pics has grown far beyond what I expected! What a DREAM come true. I’ll never forget the email from a company who I worked with last year in June that sparked my career as an influencer.
Next year as my blog grows, my goal is to do an Instagram takeover for various companies to share my days at fashion week—along with a series of blog posts! I can’t wait to expand on my goals and meet more people along the way who are on that path with me………
xoxo
