Dear Self.........
The older I get, the more I learn that we are our worst enemies. The things that we say to ourselves can be detrimental. How we think or perceive of ourselves can be harsh. Sometimes it’s so easy to lack self-belief when we live in a world so full of naysayers and negativity. Sometimes you want to share your dreams/accomplishments with others but then you’re reminded of the hating fake friends who pretend well—but deep down you know who they are. The family members who know everything or the silencers who don’t acknowledge your accomplishments. But, we can’t worry about those folks right? Absolutely NOT.
Dear Self:
The key is to be true to yourself. To be true to the very best that is in you. Your thoughts become words and your words become your actions. Have the courage to accept yourself as you really are. Be brutally honest with thyself—-and open. We all have our own talents and abilities that make us remarkable. Trust that you are in control of your own destiny……….
I want you to focus on your own self belief (I am doing the same). Believe in yourself so that you can make mistakes and learn to cope with the idea that setbacks are temporary. Opportunities begin to come when you start believing that things are attainable. Believe in yourself so that you can start challenging yourself more. Stop comparing yourself to others—there will always be someone better. That’s that! Be bold and think about what your strengths are—-and focus on just that. So with 2019 around the corner, my aim is to practice more of what I am preaching. I will believe in my self and abilities more and I will stay away from draining and negative dream stealers. Cheers to the New Year and more of focusing on self and what you want to become-instead of what others want. Love You!!
