4 Tips To Consider When Choosing A Summer Dress
With warmer weather on the way, it’s time for a wardrobe upgrade. I love summer—it means bringing out the fun dresses, bright colors, cute accessories and vibrant new styles.
However, with so many variations in summer outfits, it’s all too easy to have a fashion misstep. Plenty of times I see people struggle to combine pieces together and I just wish I can help them. But, not everyone is able to figure out what works well for their body and so on. So in this post, I have some basic suggestions/tips and rules when wearing my favorite——summer dresses!! And, I am no expert—this is merely my opinion, but a little suggestion won’t hurt. Right??
1) Use BOOB TAPE—especially if your large busted like myself and want to go backless. I used to admire small busted women because of the mere fact that they can effortlessly wear backless dresses. Then as I matured, I found out about boob tape and how to effectively use it. It’s a great styling investment and crucial while keeping your look classy as opposed to not wearing a bra. However, if you are very very large up top and boob tape doesn’t help—you might want to skip that backless dress and opt for one that you can wear with an appropriate bra. Find the right dress that looks good and is suitable for your body type. This styling adjustment is so important when wearing dresses. It can either make or break that look if not taken into consideration. Ladies, please adhere properly.
2) Think FLOWY- especially for those hot and humid summer days. Summer heat and humidity push even the most style-conscious women to abandon all hopes of looking polished. When the temperatures are scorching and the moisture in the air feels like a physical entity, comfort definitely starts becoming prioritized over fashion. However, it’s possible to find dresses that both look elegant and are comfortable in high humidity heat.
3) Don’t Be Too REVEALING- Cut-out’s either in dresses or tops are this seasons hottest trend. The side cutouts are the most popular and easiest way to rock this trend, because you can easily show off a little skin without being too revealing. The cutout sizes can vary from small slits to full side panels. Above, I am wearing a dress with a mid-section cut out which is a perfect way to show a little skin in the mid area. Please remember that this look is not for everyone—especially if you’re uncomfortable showing off your stomach. If so, instead choose a style that you are comfortable with and rock it!
